Our partners at Newcastle University have launched their 2025 ENACT competition for new online content that supports language learning through cultural activities. The ENACT app is free and is a platform which enables people to create new content, as well as to use the app to learn about different cultures, traditions and activities and the languages associated with these.
The ENACT Web App Prizes will be awarded to the people who upload the best cultural activities for language learning using the ENACT ‘CREATE’ author software during the period 1 July to 1 December 2025. Organisers want to increase the number of languages and cultures on the ENACT app by rewarding materials in languages and cultures which are not already represented.
Entry to the competition is free of charge, judging will take place in December and winners announced in January 2026. Prizes of £100 each will be awarded under seven categories and winners will receive an ENACT Web App Gold Certificate. All materials will feature on the front page of all ENACT
media and the activities will be promoted around the world on the website.
