  • Promoting and profiling achievements locally, nationally and internationally

Approach

  • Acting as a central hub for partners to share information and ideas
  • Supporting communication and connectivity across the city
  • Hosting and facilitating events to bring partners together
  • Supporting shared leadership and ownership to take forward actions
  • Identifying and encouraging sharing of skills, expertise and resources to help deliver the ambitions and priorities in our international city plan
  • Working with British Council, international partners and national organisations who share our vision to help deliver our plans

Governance

  • The company is governed by a Board, with senior representatives from key partners within the city
  • The Board sets the strategic direction and vision of International Newcastle in line with our company objectives, monitors progress, provides challenge and is responsible for the proper running of the company
  • The Director is responsible for informing and implementing the strategy and activities and for managing company business
  • The Director also supports working groups and partnerships relating to different workstrands to take forward actions on specific themes and topics
