Katie Mitford
Katie has experience fundraising and developing services within local charities. As a young person herself, she is passionate about delivering intercultural and global activities for children and young people across Newcastle.
She is Business Development Officer at the charity Action Foundation who work with refugees and asylum seekers living across the North East. In this role, she generates income through bid writing, commissioned contracts and individual giving. She has established relationships with a wide range of trusts, foundations and local authorities including partnerships within the local, regional and national space.
Katie studied International Politics and History at University and focussed her learning on global ethics, NGO development and intercultural communities. She is dedicated to developing international and intercultural activities for children and young people, with a particular emphasis on opportunities for those with lived experience of forced migration
