La Petite Crêperie will be at Newcastle Christmas market between 16th November and 22nd December. Schools are invited to join the team between 10am and 12 pm for a unique and fun French learning experience. It’s a fun, interactive way for students to practice their French outside the classroom while enjoying the festive atmosphere of the Christmas market.
Pupils will have a short presentation and live demonstration in French, where students will get to learn about French traditions, crêpes, and vocabulary. There will be an an opportunity for students to order crêpes in French and receive a special discount as a reward for their efforts! Get in touch via facebook here
Coming up – North East Schools Crêpe Competition (8th Jan-14th February)

As part of Express Yourself: North East Festival of Languages in 2025, pupils in primary and middle schools in the North East will be invited to design their own unique crêpe, explain their choice of ingredients, and describe it in French for a chance to win an interactive French workshop with La Petite Crêperie.
Schools can register from 18th November 2024 when the 2025 Festival website and programme will be launched. They will submit pupils’ entries between 8th January and 14th February 2025. Winners will be announced on 21st February.
Two schools will win an in-person workshop with La Petite Crêperie at Newcastle University’s ilab on 7th March to coincide with the week of Pancake Day.
