Students who are studying for A-level Arabic are invited to a special Film Viewing and Discussion event organised by the North East Arabic Teachers’ Council on 16th May at Newcastle City Library. Wadjda is a highly acclaimed Saudi film and a valuable cultural resource for A-level study.
The event will include a guided discussion exploring key themes, characters, and cinematic techniques, as well as opportunities for students to engage in critical thinking and debate. This session is designed to support A-level students’ understanding of Arabic society, culture, and film analysis, while also enriching their exam preparation in an engaging and interactive way.
Students can register individually using this link, or you can collect the names and numbers of interested students and share them with Caroline Afolabi-Deleu and Ulfet Sahin to confirm attendance and for refreshments: languages@s4a.org.uk
