Newcastle and North East secondary schools and sixth forms can get involved in a range of live events in March 2024. Inspire children and young people to progress with languages, as part of Express Yourself: North East Festival of Languages. International Newcastle coordinates the Festival on behalf of the region.
We have worked with a range of local, regional and national partners to develop interesting events to show how learning and speaking other languages can benefit young people’s future lives, education and employment opportunities. Register for language and careers events for pupils to attend language activities with Northumbria, Newcastle and Durham Universities, Futbol Lingo, British Council and the EU Commission.
We have also compiled a series of languages and careers resources that can be accessed free anytime, for use at school, home and in the community.
