We celebrate our diverse communities and learn and share from each other’s cultures, languages and traditions. Islamophobia Awareness Month takes place each November and promotes tolerance and understanding between Muslim and non-Muslim communities. Find out more about this year’s campaign and get involved.
Islamophobia Awareness Month (IAM) is a campaign founded in 2012 by a group of Muslim organisations. It aims to showcase the positive contributions of Muslims as well as raise awareness of Islamophobia in society.
The theme of this year’s campaign is ‘Seeds of Change’ and the goal is to emphasise the importance of how small actions contribute to big change. The campaign encourages people to take small steps to raise awareness, such as starting a conversation, participating in training or making a donation. “We can all plant seeds that help tackle Islamophobia.”
