Free one-week immersion courses in Spain for teachers of Spanish – apply by 27th May for June/July

Our partners at the Spanish Embassy Education Department have issued a final call for British/Irish teachers of Spanish in the UK to apply for a free, one-week immersion course to support the teaching of Spanish as a foreign language (ELE). Teachers should apply by 27th May for courses in June and July in Ávila, Segovia or Santander. The grant covers the course, accommodation and meals, as well as the cultural programme. The grant does not cover the journey to Spain or the return to the UK. Travel and/or health insurance is also not included. This call is not for Spanish nationals.

The courses are organised by Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of Spain (MEFP) through the External Educational Action Unit in collaboration with the National University of Distance Education (UNED) and the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP). The entire course application process is online through Profex applicants must register, complete their CV and select the courses that interest them.

Application steps:

The Ministry of Education and Vocational Training of Spain and the Ministry of Education in the United Kingdom and Ireland will contact the selected persons to inform them and send an email to the substitutes and non-selected persons. The teachers who finally participate in the courses and are suitable will receive a diploma of participation.

  • To be eligible for the course it is necessary to have attended 90% of the scheduled sessions and activities.
