Newcastle schools’ workshops with British Council on 15th November: International School Award

There are two sessions to choose from on 15th November:

  • Newcastle Civic Centre at 1:30 pm – 2:45pm (Barras BridgeNewcastle NE1 8QH) or
  • Sacred Heart Primary school at 3:30pm – 4:45pm (Convent Road, Fenham Hall Drive, Newcastle NE4 9XZ)

Click here to book school places at either of the sessions and contact sarah.edgar@newcastle.gov.uk if you have any queries.

Schools which attended either of the British Council events in March as part of our Express Yourself: North East Festival of Languages (Welcome to the Arab World and/or ‘Where can languages take you?’ webinar), will be awarded Foundation level at this session and will be informed about how to apply for the next award stage.

British Council’s ISA provides a framework for schools to develop international activities across the curriculum, including collaborative work with international partner schools and opportunities to involve the wider community. Schools can start at Foundation level and then achieve accreditation as they develop through the levels. More information about the International School Award can be found here: International School Award | British Council
