Find out more about the Festival, bringing the fun back into language learning and building connections for schools with organisations that can support them in expanding horizons and widening perspectives for children and young people as global citizens.
Express Yourself: North East Festival of Languages is a celebration of diverse languages, cultures and communities in the North East of England. It has taken place annually since 2021, with the support of a wide range of local, regional and national partners giving their time, expertise and providing free activities, events and resources. Over 51,000 children and young people and 1,140 schools took part in our festivals from 2021-2023 and we hope to engage even more in in this year’s festival.
In this one hour webinar, you will find out more about the Festival: how it has progressed; why and how we provide free opportunities for children and young people in schools, community schools and groups to inspire them to try new and creative ways to enjoy languages and cultures; what’s on this year; and how activities can be adapted or developed in your area. Participants are welcome from across the North East and the UK at this national webinar. There will be time for questions and discussion.
