International Newcastle is working with Northumbria Police’s Positive Action Team as part of our focus on promoting and celebrating diversity of cultures, languages and ethnicities in the city.
The Positive Action Team are hosting a live Question and Answer event at 4-6pm on 18th March to promote opportunities for volunteering, training, apprenticeships and careers in the police for underrepresented groups, especially women and those from Black, Asian and other Ethnic Minority populations and to build a workforce that represents the diversity of our communities.

Following consultation events with different communities, Northumbria Police are holding their first ever virtual live Q&A on the 18th of March at 4pm – 6pm.
This is a fantastic opportunity for people to meet Police Officers, Special Constables (volunteering) and Police Staff from diverse communities and backgrounds, to talk about their careers in Northumbria Police. The Officers will give a short summary of their career journeys and you will then have the opportunity to ask any burning questions. It is hoped that participants will leave the session inspired and motivated to consider Northumbria Police as an employer of choice.
