Our partners at the Spanish Embassy Education Office and in Spain offer many opportunities for teachers of Spanish to access teaching resources, as well as to improve their own teaching and Spanish language skills. Find out more about the opportunities for teacher training coming up (online, in person UK and immersion courses in Spain), as well as the wide range of resources available for the classroom.
In person and online training (UK June/July)
- London, Saturday 25th June at their Spanish school Vicente Cañada Blanch. Click here to see the full programme. They will be offering a number of workshops at different levels and a typical Spanish lunch with cultural activities. There will be a small fee for this all day event.
- Online workshop 10-12 2nd July for Spanish teachers: How to keep students motivated in the Spanish classroom. Click here to register for free. With the Consejaria and publisher, Edinumen.

Spanish immersion courses in Spain
There are grants for teachers to sign up for a teacher training immersion course in collaboration with the University of Salamanca. There are two available dates all within the school holidays:
- 10th to 16th July – deadline for applications 24th June
- 17th to 23rd July – deadline for applications 1st July

Spanish blended learning programme course online June+/in Leon, Spain in August
Blended learning programme aimed at teachers working in British or Irish schools: 33 hours of self-study online from mid-June + 1 week Spanish language course in León (Spain) in August 2022. Three different levels: absolute beginners, beginners and intermediate. A grant to cover most of the costs will be offered. APPLY NOW

Resources for the Spanish classroom

Veo en espaÑol is a free online streaming platform which includes an array of films, short films, animations, documentaries from the world of cinema, all in Spanish, with teaching guides and provides a great resource to use for listening activities in the classroom.

Tecla magazine: Our magazine that is published three or four times a year includes teaching ideas. The latest edition is available using the following link and you will find activities based at CEFR level A1 and A2, perfect for use in teaching Spanish at Secondary level.
