Opportunity to get involved: Circular design and social innovation for sustainable cities (online 3.00-4.15pm 21 Sept)

Our partners at British Council are sharing this opportunity to be involved in an international roundtable discussion: Circular Design and Social Innovation for Sustainable Cities. The event is online and in English at 3pm-4.15 (UK time) on 21st September 2021.

It will focus on urban innovation as a means to empower communities and build resilience within the urban fabric, as a driving force for sustainability.

About the event

Experts from the UK and Europe will share their expertise in urban interventions through circular design and materials and highlight the importance of social design in creating cities of the future.

The discussion aims to develop ideas on how cities can tackle the effects of climate change and provide public authorities with the tools to help achieve sustainable urban development, while encouraging dialogue with local communities and public authorities and fostering social cohesion, especially in a post-Covid era.

Circular Cultures

The round table is being organised in the context of British Council’s wider sustainability programme Circular Cultures, in collaboration with the Czech Centre Athens and the support of Onassis Stegi. It is part of the EUNIC (European Union National Institutes for Culture) Athens Gardens Festival taking place from 20 to 26 September 2021.
