UK students (aged 15-19) who are learning French, German or Spanish can take part in this multinational online competition. They are encouraged to submit a 3-minute video or short text with images in their chosen language by 15th October to Fact Scouts.
60 winners from the competition will be chosen to take part in digital workshops with young people from other countries between October and December, creating fake news-free media products. All participants in the workshops will receive a camera drone, microphone kit or video camera.
Students will use the foreign language they are learning to exchange ideas about fake news. In addition, they will learn how to make social media stories, videos, articles or vlogs even better, more exciting and free of fake news.
