International Education Week 2025 is organised by British Council and will take place from 17th to 21st November. The week is dedicated to celebrating international learning in schools and will feature a variety of online events and resources aimed at educators and pupils alike. Other opportunities for North East to support international education in the classroom
Express Yourself: North East Festival of Languages 2026 opens next week for advance bookings for a wide range of free events and activities around diverse languages and cultures, which can support schools’ international connections.
Newcastle and North East schools are also invited to attend a webinar with British Council about progressing with the International School Award at 4-5pm on 27th November (click here to register)
Newcastle City Council and International Newcastle provide support for schools to develop partnerships with schools abroad, which can enhance international learning through online projects and engagement.
