The Phoenix Way are asking for your help in supporting and improving funding opportunities for black-led communities and charitable organisations, starting by building a map of the region. The purpose is highlight what is already in place, how they these organisations help communities and any gaps that might exist. Please complete this survey so that your input can help them on their mission.
With this survey they are aiming to map black-led by and for organisations and groups across the North East and Cumbria. They want to collect information about all formal organisations as well as informal small groups, such as sports clubs, language clubs, parent meeting groups, student union groups and faith groups.
The Phoenix Way NE and Cumbria
The Phoenix Way is a group for Black people. By this, they mean organisations and groups that are led by and for Black people. They use the term Black as an inclusive term that includes people from the African, Caribbean and Asian diaspora.
About the survey
The survey will take approx. 10 mins to complete and by way of thanking you for your time, the first 25 people to complete this by midnight on Sunday 26th March will receive a £25 voucher. This will be paid over April 2023
In addition, anyone who completes the survey can choose to be entered into a prize draw to nominate an organisation/group of your choice working in the North East and Cumbria to receive a £250 donation. There is only 1 prize of £250 to be won. The closing date for the survey is 5pm Thursday 30th March. The winner will be announced in April 2023
The information collected will be used to influence the (and other organisations such as funders) grant spend, programme design and decision-making. A report using this data will be sent to funders and used by the national Phoenix Way. Information will be stored and archived for legitimate research purposes.
