Free online classes for teachers of Spanish and free Spanish film opportunity for pupils

Partners across the UK are offering a some free opportunities for teachers of Spanish to improve their language abilities (in September and October), as well as a free Spanish film for those teaching Spanish to secondary pupils (15-18 years old), available from 30th September to 4th October.

These classes are for teachers of Spanish who know some Spanish. They will be run by Raquel Tola Rego, Lead Spanish Practitioner, and Languages Consultant, based at Parkwood Primary International Spanish School.

The free online classes will take place at 4-5pm on 19th and 26th September and 10th and 17th October and those who sign up are expected to attend all 4 classes.

This opportunity is being offered by our colleagues in Hackney, London, who have a very successful Spanish programme across their schools.

The Olive Tree: Teach Spanish with this great film from 30 September to 4 October 2024.

The Director of the Edinburgh Film Festival is sharing with all Spanish teachers in the United Kingdom this initiative to promote the Spanish language and culture through the Veo en espaƱol film platform, which is run by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sport.

Any teacher can register for free via Eventbrite here to request the code that will allow them to view The Olive Tree with their secondary school students.
