On the afternoon of 17 July 2023, there will be an online Spotlight Workshop taking place to understand the current landscape of health-related services to support the needs of asylum seekers and refugees across the North East.
The event has been organised in conjunction with NHS England and NE and Cumbria, Office for Health Improvement and Disparities and UK Health and Security Agency.
It will bring together partners from across the North East system with direct involvement or a growing interest in supporting the healthcare needs of asylum seekers.

- Gain insight into current processes / activity happening at place
- Share practice and examples of what is working well
- Explore the key issues and challenges
- Explore system capacity and capability to prepare and respond to an outbreak or an increase in numbers
- Agree a forward plan to support this work regionally
