Ramadan ‘safe fasting’ prayer calendars are ready to share in your communities (22 March-21 April)

Ramadan is one of the holiest months of the Islamic calendar so it is important for all our Muslim communities. This year, Ramadan falls between 22 March and 21 April. During Ramadan, Muslims fast during the daylight hours. They will not eat food, drink liquids or smoke from dawn to sunset. Anyone with serious health issues, frail, pregnant or on daily medication/ medical treatment is not expected to fast.

The Haref team at Connected Voice has worked closely with local Imams to produce these prayer calendars every year for our Muslim communities in Gateshead, Newcastle and North Tyneside.  Alongside the prayer times, the calendars contain safe fasting information, tips on managing diabetes, and managing your glaucoma.

These links to fasting calendars can be shared:

Each of the 11 mosques has a unique set of prayer times and Connected Voice design, print and deliver a special set of calendars to each mosque. Visit Connected Voice’s Ramadan 2023 webpage to learn more about these calendars, information about safe fasting from Diabetes UK and the Muslim Council of Britain and mosque prayer times calendars for mosques in Newcastle, Gateshead and the North East.
