International Newcastle is working with the Cabinet Office’s National Resilience Hub (NRH) and with local partners in the city to get messages out to communities across the area (especially for different language and cultural communities), through networks and intermediaries.
The NRH provides communications and toolkits which can be shared by organisations working with communities, as well as links and information for social media and resources in different languages.

LIVING WITH COVID – ANNOUNCEMENTS
On 21 February 2022, in the House of the Commons, the Prime Minister outlined the content of the Government’s publication ‘Living with COVID‘. The key messages include:
- Ending legal requirements for twice a week testing in schools from 21 February.
- Ending of legal requirement to self isolate following a positive test result from 24 February.
- Ending of legal requirement to test for 7 days after coming into contact with someone who has tested positive from 24 February.
- End of routine contact tracing on 24 February.
- Ending of free testing for the general public from 1 April.
- Ending of guidance for voluntary COVID-status certification for certain venues from 1 April.

This toolkit includes an update to guidance on staying safe, vaccines and revised guidance for places of worship:
- A new campaign called ‘Let’s keep life moving’ has launched to promote safe behaviours and stop the spread of the virus, includes videos and assets to help with Covid-19 messages
- Latest guidance on fully vaccinated people and self isolation, as well as future conditions of entry to events where large crowds gather and nightclubs
- Restrictions are lifted for communal workship, but there is new guidance on reducing transmission and working safely for Places of Worship
- Travel in England restrictions lifted, with guidance on travelling safely
- Travel abroad and arrivals into England rules and assets which can be shared on requirements relating to the traffic light system

This guidance and a range of communications assets for sharing across organisations and community networks is issued with the key message that although England restrictions ease on 19th July, it is important to remain cautious and continue to follow the Hands, Face, Space, Fresh Air guidance and to take part in the vaccination programme and free, rapid Covid-19 testing.
The toolkit includes:
- An overview of the Roadmap and lifting of restrictions from 19th July with guidance and assets to share (video, links, posters, social media assets) – covering venues, work, weddings and meeting other people indoors
- No limits on festivals, weddings, funerals and other life events, as well as sports from 19th July with guidance on staying safe and testing
